Let me tell you, the vast lack of good Chibi-Chibi pages out on the net is amazing. I found only about two or three good pages. The rest of the pages were pretty bad, but down at the bottom of this page are the few pages I found which were pretty decent. I'm going to try and give you the best information on this page about Chibi2.

Okay, Chibi Chibi appeared in episode 182 of the Sailor Stars season. Of course, DiC's dub of SM hasn't reached there yet, but the title of the episode is (translated) : The invasion from Space! Siren comes flying. Chibi Chibi appears by floating down on an umberella, and lands in the park where Usagi and Luna are talking. Usagi manages to catch Chibi Chibi's umberlla when it blows away, and that is how they meet. When Usagi gets home, she finds that her mother calls Chibi Chibi her little sister. Many have speculated that Chibi Chibi has the same hypnotising affect as Chibi-Usa.

Chibi Chibi is super cute and can only say the words "Chibi Chibi" or imitating what other people say (a fact many often overlook). Chibi Chibi basically means "Really Small", as in Chibi-Usa, it means "Small Usa(gi)" but when put together, mean "Really Small". Anyway, Chibi Chibi is very enigmatic and we don't get to learn much about her until the series finale. There are two distinctly different storylines to Chibi Chibi, one from the Manga, and one from the anime, I will detail bot at the bottom of this page.

The Explanations
When Chibi Chibi appeared, there was a lot of speculation on who she was and all. Some educated people thought, Chibi-Usa was Usagi's daughter from the future, could Chibi Chibi be Chibi-Usa's daughter from the further future? No. There was a rumour that she was Princess Kakyuu's daughter. No. The truth is ver revealing and both the Anime and Manga explanations contain MAJOR SPOILERS. Read it only if you know you're never going to find out otherwise. Or you're just curious.

Anime Explanation : When Galaxia was fighting Chaos, the only way she could defeat it was to seal it inside of her. Being the Sailor Senshi of the Galaxy, she had a really pure Star Seed. When she trapped Chaos within her, she had to release her star seed. Knowing Chaos would eventually consume her, she sent her star seed to the purest heart in the Galaxy. There could be two reasons for this, for her Star Seed to protect the purest heart in the Galaxy, or for the purest heart to protect her star seed. I'd tend to go with the first explanation. The Star Seed manifested itself as Chibi Chibi, and, you guessed it, found Sailor Moon. In the final episodes of Stars, Chibi Chibi turns into a sword of justice to try and fight Galaxia, who has been consumed by Chaos. This kind of gives evidence for the explanation that Galaxia's star seed is to protect the purest heart (ie, Sailor Moon). Anyway, when Galaxia returns to normal, Chibi Chibi disappears.

Manga Explanation : Okay, I've had conflicting information on this, and I'm going to say both of them. Once I get to Sailor Stars in my Manga Summaries, I'll put the true meaning. Anyway, Chibi Chibi can speak normally in the manga, and also turns into Sailor Cosmos. Now I've heard from a lot of (badly designed) pages that Sailor Cosmos is Sailor Moon's true form in the future, like the purest form. Not having read the Stars manga I don't know. But a shrine dedicated to Sailor Cosmos says differently, and I'm inclined to agree. Sailor Cosmos is just the Sailor form of Chibi Chibi, and her name simply means, "Sailor Universe". Sailor Cosmos came back from the future to help Sailor Moon battle Chaos. This is because Sailor Cosmos was facing Chaos in the future, and wanted to help Sailor Moon in the present. I personally tend to lean to the second explanation, mainly because of the evidence given on the page I looked at, I will give the true explanation, like I said, when I get to it.



The Engima
Chibi Chibi is an enigma. We never truly find out about her, we of course find out WHY she is here, just not a lot. Anyway, in one episode, #187 (The power of the glittering stars! Chibi Chibi's transformation) Chibi Chibi becomes a Sailor senshi. Sailor Moon had dropped her Eternal Tier and, to cut a long story short, Chibi Chibi touched it. A bright light spilled forth, and Chibi Chibi instilled power into all the senshi. In a dream like sequence, Sailor Moon touches Sailor Chibi Chibi's hand, and power is put into her. I think the main reason for this is that with Sailor Moon's Eternal Tier being a senshi weapon, Chibi Chibi turned into a senshi. The power she gave is most likely because of being Galaxia's Star Seed.
